This was the first day we gave planned lessons to the children. We divided the children into three groups. We taught them in three levels. We planned activities that are related to Easter, because they are going to celebrate Easter this weekend. We mixed colours with the smaller children, sang and danced (tpr) to a song and we coloured some eggs together with them. With the next group we also mixed colours and coloured eggs, but on a higher level, with more language and more difficult words. We also played a scavenger hunt with the children. They had to write down how many yellow eggs there were in the room for example or how many striped or dotted eggs.
With the last group we read a story and finished the end of this story by finding sentences (like a scavenger hunt) and putting them in the right order. In the end we acted out the story and performed this for the rest of the children.

The children also got a toothbrush workshop today. A few dentists came and showed the children how to brush their teeth with a big plastic denture. They could also practise this on this denture. We couldn’t understand much of the explanation because it was in Romanian. But the dentists had visual support of animated movies. The children had to sit still for quite a long time, this was difficult for the little children, but they seemed to like it, with the animated movie and brushing the plastic denture.
